When guests entered the foyer for cocktail hour they retrieved their escort cards from a table with a huge curly willow centerpiece with hanging votive candles. Once formal photos were done it was time to do the introductions in the mansion’s ballroom. They entered to the ever so popular Let’s Get Married – Remix. The couple went right into their first dance to So Beautiful by Musiq. They lead their 150 guests into the tent for dinner. Their guest tables included high and low centerpieces, CD favors and menu cards (created by the Bride). Later in the evening their DJ did a great job keeping the dance floor packed. In addition to serving wedding cake Eboni and Nate also did a candy buffet. At the end of the evening we passed out sparklers with personalize matchbooks to their guests for the couple’s grand exit. The couple honeymooned in the Bahamas.

Although it poured down raining earlier in the day, the weather cleared just in time for the couple’s outdoor wedding. They held their ceremony in front of the gazebo at
Grey Rock Mansion. They had a large group of friends and family in their wedding party to stand up for them as they exchanged vows. Their 9 bridesmaids (including maid/matron) wore brown bridesmaids dresses in varying styles and lengths and they carried blue hydrangea bouquets. Their 7 groomsmen (including Best Man) wore tan linen suits with a brown striped tie and coral rose boutonnières. Their 2 flower girls wore tiffany blue dresses with a brown sash and carried pomander balls instead of a flower basket. Their 2 ring bearers and broom bearer wore tan suits with tiffany blue bow ties. Yes you counted correctly…they had a wedding party of 21 but they were such a fun group.
The bride who wore a gorgeous, strapless Maggie Sottero beaded gown was escorted down the aisle by both her parents to No One Else by Amiel Larrieux. Their guests cheered as they made their way up the aisle after being pronounced husband and wife. After the ceremony the couple took formal photos with their wedding party and parents while their guest were directed inside the mansion for cocktail hour.

I just received a few professional photos from April & Josh’s Baltimore wedding last Saturday so now I’ll give you more details. This wedding was quite a family affair and a labor of love. The Bride’s mother played an integral part in the planning process especially since the Bride & Groom lived out of state. The ceremony took place at the Bride’s family church. A friend of the Bride’s mother made all of the jewelry for the wedding party. The best man sang 2 songs during the ceremony and boy can he sing! The Bride’s father made the place cards for the ceremony. Lastly, about a month before the wedding, the Groom contacted me to see what he could do to surprise his bride. His gift to her was additional lighting in the tent, an extra camera man with their videographer and a fancier limo for their send off at the end of the reception. Wasn’t that sweet?? I lead the couple into the tent to see everything before their guests. It was then that I had the pleasure of telling the Bride what her wonderful new husband did as a thank you for her. She was very happily surprised but who wouldn’t be.
All I can say is Jen of J. Lowe Photos is AWESOME! She captures everything. See for yourself. I’ve posted a few photos below as a preview (click on the photos to enlarge them). As you’ll see from the pictures on Jen’s blog as well as the photo slideshow, a wonderful time was had by all. I wish this couple all the best as they join the ranks of married couples everywhere. Congratulations again April & Josh.

A great shot during the ceremony. Notice the quote above them. Kudos to Jen Lowe for getting this photo

The Happy Couple

The wedding party outside the church after the ceremony

The couple’s first dance was to John Legend’s “So High” and what a fitting song for these two

The place cards made by the Father of the Bride

Affairs With Elegance did the menu cards and ceremony programs seen here. We used 2 of the monograms I designed for them. One was used at the ceremony for the programs and aisle runner while the other was used at the reception for the menu cards and gobo lighting
Last but not least, the sparkler send off at the end of the evening

Special thanks to Affairs With Elegance team members Ed, Tonya and Terry for all of their hard work. They also did a great job!

April and Josh became husband and wife on Saturday. Their ceremony was held at the Bride’s family’s church in Baltimore City. The newlyweds hosted their reception for 150 guests at Grey Rock Mansion in Baltimore County. The couple’s color scheme of chocolate and pink were used in every aspect of their wedding. Below are a few design photos from the reception.

Engagement photos were placed in the foyer for all their guests to see as soon as they entered the mansion. They also served as their guest book. Guests signed the mat.

There were a few tables setup in the ballroom for cocktail hour. There was also pink uplighting around the room.

The couple’s wedding cake.
Dinner was served in the tent. We alternated floral centerpieces and candle holders on the guest tables.

We also used lighting to wash the ceiling of the tent a soft pink.

I hope to share professional pictures soon.
