Reception or After Party Wedding Dress

I came across this gorgeous Diane von Furtenberg dress on Nordstrom.com and thought it would be great for as reception or after party wedding dress. The lace detail may be the perfect compliment to your wedding gown. And at $495 it’s a steal compared to what you’d probably spend on other dresses.

Why not pair it with these metalic Betsey Johnson sandals found at DSW.com which are also a steal at $150.
Happy Shopping.

My Visit To Garnish Dress Boutique

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting Mia Isse, owner of Garnish Boutique, a dress salon located in Mt. Washington. If you’re looking for beautiful and modern bridesmaid or special occasion attire then you have to visit Garnish. They carry collections by Jenny Yoo, Coren Moore, Lynn Lugo and many others. Mia has created a quaint boutique where a bride can find dresses, shoes, accessories, jewelry and gifts for her bridesmaids all in one location.

Stop by or visit their website. Garnish Boutique is located at 5724 Falls Road in Baltimore, MD.

Do you want to be Spanx’d on your wedding day?

I found this while visiting Elizabeth Bailey Weddings’ blog. Spanx, famous for camouflaging body imperfections, is now offering this item for today’s brides. Their Marry Me spanx will look seamless under your wedding dress and sells for $18. You can’t be that price for the security you’ll have knowing everything is in it’s place and well supported.

BTW, I’m sure the bridesmaids and mothers might prefer a pair too.

How Many Dresses for Your Wedding?

[all images from Nordstrom.com]

Did you realize when you got engaged that you will need several ensembles to celebrate your nuptials? I bet you didn’t think about the various celebrations like the engagement party, bridal shower, bachelorette party, rehearsal dinner and day-after brunch. All of this and we haven’t even mentioned the wedding dress and in some cases the reception dress. That’s a total of 7 outfits!

I suggest making a list and taking it with you when you’re out shopping. You never know when you’ll come across the perfect outfit for each of these occasions.

Ann Taylor Celebrations line

I love shopping at Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft for my everyday clothing. However, they’ve introduced a new line called Celebrations that is geared toward the wedding industry. If you are looking for bridesmaid dresses, flowergirl dresses, shoes, men’s ties, purses, etc. for your wedding day, then look no further. Their collection is beautiful and items come in some of today’s most popular colors. The best part is that you get these items with the same quality as Ann Taylor’s fine clothing.
