I was given the opportunity to participate in the My Day Bridal Show table top competition. The good news…I was very excited to showcase my design skills. The bad news…I only had a couple of days to come up with a design. Here’s what I came up with on short notice. I am waiting on the professional shots but here are a few I snapped myself.

Rental items were from our friends at Select Event Rentals. Tomorrow I’ll post photos the tables from the other participants.

Most of my clients know that I change the table display in my office each season. In June I updated it with a summer beach theme so I thought I’d share.

I received several inquiries regarding the centerpiece I used in the ABC Tabletop Competition. So I thought I would do a post for my readers and fellow bloggers. I ordered it from Ballard Designs. I added hangle crystals to it to add a little glamour since my theme was Holiday Elegance.
So if you are looking for an inexpensive centerpiece for your wedding or event check out the Twig Votive Tree which sells for $59.99. Who could resist that price…I couldn’t.

I am a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants’ Maryland/DC chapter. Our fall meeting, always the last meeting of the year, includes the annual tabletop competition. This year’s meeting was held at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland. The hotel is gorgeous and I’d love to do an event there one day soon. They offer a circular ballroom that leads to a terrace which can be tented. Imagine the possibilities.
This was my first time entering the competition. I decided to enter at the last minute and although I didn’t win, it was a great experience. My theme was “Holiday Elegance”. All of the linens were courtesy of Gala Cloths in Reisterstown, MD. Below are pictures of our table. What do you think?

And the winners are…
3rd Place – CCI Creations

2nd Place – M&M Creative Events

Last but certainly not least…1st Place – By Design Events

Congratulations ladies!
