Monday Marriage Quote

I love the following quote. It further explains my belief that marriage isn’t just about getting married. There is still plenty to do AFTER the ceremony and reception.
We can’t do ourselves justice by letting our tribute end in the wedding ceremony. You have to move from ceremony to sacrament. Sacrament takes up where ceremony leaves off. Ceremony is like putting a ring on her finger at the wedding, but sacrament is ringing her life with love and joy every day and every hour.

~ Rev. Joseph Lowery

Monday Marriage Quote

Today’s quote comes from a man who was known for creating one of America’s well known brands. While I’m not so sure this quote was originally related to marriage, I think it is very fitting. Let me know what you think.

Coming together is the beginning.
Keeping together is progress.
Working together is success.
~Henry Ford
