Inspiration Board – Fall Wedding

Who says a fall wedding HAS to include pumpkins, leaves and branches? Not me and the inspiration board below proves it.

Another Great Find

Tired of having to paint wooden letters to match your wedding décor? I came across this great find while perusing Lucky Design’s blog. Wonderful Graffiti has done it again! They now sell Lucite Letters. These glass like letters will work with any color combination.

Wedding Journals

I came across a website called Table Topics and just had to share this. They sell a product called “My Wedding Journal” that has a different question at the top of each of the 100 pages in the spiral book. They include thought provoking questions like “What were the qualities that first attracted you to your partner?” and “What 3 pictures do you hope are captured perfectly on your wedding day?”. These types of questions may be the biggest stepping stone in planning your personalized wedding. These 2 questions alone might help you develop a theme or motif to use for your wedding as well as help with your must have/must take photo list. And there are 98 more questions left. What a great engagement party or bridal shower gift and best of all they’re only $10.

They also offer “My Life Journal” which could be useful when planning your upcoming wedding. This journal also includes thought provoking questions like “If you could appoint a board of directors to help run your life, who would you choose and why?”. This particular question might make it easy to decide the members of your bridal party. Other questions include “Where have you lived and what were your favorite things about each place?”. This is another question that might be helpful when trying to add personalized touches to your wedding.

Hope I’ve inspired you to take a look at your life and your soon-to-be spouse for wedding inspiration.

Bling or “Ice”

I came across this and thought it was a cool idea. Check out the Cool Jewels Ice Tray by The Spoon Sisters. Just fill the tray with water and freeze. Or use your favorite juice to create colored gems. What a great idea for a bridal shower or engagement party. Imagine an ice bucket full of diamond shaped ice cubes. I’m sure this will be quite the ice breaker for any party…lol.

High End Inspiration

The Fall/Winter issue of Grace Ormonde magazine is full of pictures from high end weddings or events. This issue contains 27 pages of table top designs and features 6 real weddings one of which appeared on the Style Network’s “My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding”. Nothing says “high end” like a Preston Bailey design which is also featured. Even the vendor advertisements have beautiful table settings. From dupioni silk linens to lush floral arrangements to hanging crystals to beautiful and unique cakes, there’s something for everyone.

Although most people may not be able to afford most of these wedding designs, it doesn’t mean you can’t use them for inspiration. Get inspired by the color schemes, centerpieces, place settings, lounge areas or lighting (candles, color washes, uplights, pinspots, etc). Using just one or two elements may add a high end elegant feel to your wedding design.

Happy designing!
