This weekend will be a busy one for the AWE team. Saturday morning/afternoon I am attending the “I Do Brunch” networking event for wedding planners hosted by Premiere Event Management. It will be one of the few times during wedding season that I will be able sit back, relax and attend an event instead of working it. I’m looking forward to seeing old colleagues again and meeting new ones. Saturday evening, the team and I are doing a 50th birthday party. I’m very excited about this party because the host is a friend of mine and is one of the sweetest people I know. We’ll be celebrating her living life like it’s golden. I can’t wait for her to see the ballroom before guest arrive. Lastly, Sunday is the My Day Magazine Bridal Event at the Tremont Grand. I attended this event last year and it was amazing so I am looking forward to seeing what they have in store this year. Click here for tickets and more information. The AWE team is participating in the table top competition so stop by and vote for us. We launched our very first website in 2005. By 2007 I was excited to update our site from html to flash. I hired a web designer who took my vision and created a website that was 100 times better than what we started with. While I loved that website, which was a huge labor of love (and pictured above), lately I’ve been feeling the need for a change. I wanted to update our site…again. I wanted a new website that would reflect our style and personality which have evolved during our time in the wedding industry. So without further ado I present the new and improved Affairs With Elegance website. A big thank you goes to Eliana at By Your Side Events for awarding us as one of her favorite blogs. Below is a list of my favorites. An Atlanta Bride Okay not exactly but sort of. I contacted the wonderfully talented Jen Lowe of J.Lowe Photos about doing some head shots of me for my website, etc. I thought it was time you were able to put a face and name to the company I call Affairs With Elegance. While I was a little nervous, Jen did a great job of getting me to relax. She chose the location which I thought was perfect…even though I’m not the outdoors type. Jen just has a way of bring out your personality no matter where you are. That’s probably why she’s so great at her craft. So without further ado meet little ol’ me…Lakendra Kennedy. These are my favorites but I’m still undecided which one to use. To help with my decision please leave a comment telling me which one you like best. Thanks! |
