We launched our very first website in 2005. By 2007 I was excited to update our site from html to flash. I hired a web designer who took my vision and created a website that was 100 times better than what we started with. While I loved that website, which was a huge labor of love (and pictured above), lately I’ve been feeling the need for a change. I wanted to update our site…again. I wanted a new website that would reflect our style and personality which have evolved during our time in the wedding industry.
So without further ado I present the new and improved Affairs With Elegance website.

I’m sure you’re familiar with Justin Timberlake’s song “Bringing Sexy Back”. Well that song would be perfect for today’s post. If you are a bride that has been considering doing a sexy boudoir session then the timing couldn’t be more perfect.
One of my favorite photographers, Jen Lowe of J. Lowe Photos, is hosting a marathon boudoir session, “Boudoir at the Beach”, with makeup artist Amie Decker March 20th-22nd. Click here to view all the details on Jen’s blog.
Some brides like to present their husbands with boudoir photos on their wedding night. From what I’ve heard the responses are ALWAYS very positive.

Dear Brides and Grooms, we want your input.
If you wouldn’t mind, please click on the link below and answer 9 quick, easy questions about different design aspects of wedding vendor’s websites. I promise, this will only take a few minutes of your time!
http://www.questionpro.com/akira/TakeSurvey?id=1152739
We won’t record anything about you other than what state or country you are from – we don’t even ask for your email address so no spam or anything like that.
You will likely see this link on lots of other blogs and sites – this survey is being shared all over the blog-o-sphere so please take the survey only once.
If you have additional comments on the subject, please feel free to email me with those and I will share them with the other wedding vendors who are participating! We can’t wait to hear what you have to say!
(If you are a wedding vendor and would like to participate, just copy this post to your blog and email emilie {@} emilieduncan {.} com – She will send you the results once we have closed the survey in March)
Thank you in advance!

Yesterday, I was informed that Affairs With Elegance was awarded a 2009 Bride’s Choice award from Wedding Wire. Below is an excerpt from their website regarding the selection process.
The Bride’s Choice Awards recognizes vendors from the WeddingWire Network that demonstrate excellent quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism, value of cost and flexibility. Unlike other awards in which winners are selected by the company, the Bride’s Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds (brides and grooms) through surveys and reviews. Our winning vendors have set the bar high for this competition, demonstrating excellent service and expertise in their industry.
I would like to thank all of our clients who provided such glowing reviews. I enjoyed working with all of you on such a wonderful occasion…your wedding.
I’d also like to congratulate the other vendors who were recognized. Keep up the great work!
