I’m Back!

I’m back from Dallas! This trip started out as a gift to my husband but I enjoyed myself just as much as he did. Our flight there started out a little bumpy…okay VERY bumpy due to the weather on the East coast. It later subsided but I thought I was on a ride at an amusement park for a minute. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency and our room was really nice. There were a lot of Cowboys fans in our hotel who came in just for the game. We meet people from Pennsylvania, Atlanta, New York and Oklahoma. The weather in Dallas was perfect on Saturday and Sunday…in the low 80’s.

Sunday was the game! The Mr. and I put on our jerseys and headed out. He wore throw back jersey #33 for Tony Dorsett and I wore #24 for Marion Barber. Once at Texas Stadium we were snapping pictures left and right. I felt like a tourist and wasn’t ashamed of it…not to mention we weren’t the only ones doing it. After walking around the stadium as fans tailgated, we finally took our seats and patiently awaited the start of the game. Some of the players came out to warm up so I was able to get a photo of Terrell Owens before he suited up. When it was time for the team to take the field, the crowd went wild as the players were introduced…it could’ve been the pyrotechnic show too though (see photos below). Country singer Randy Travis sang the National Anthem. It was a close game and at times a nail bitter but we won 13 – 9 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Later that night we went to The Capital Grille in downtown Dallas to celebrate.

Of course we stopped in the Official Dallas Cowboys Store while at the DFW airport to get gifts and souvenirs. I also purchased a DWeddings magazine from a local store just to get a peek into the world of weddings in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. It was hard to return home after such an exciting trip. Below are some of our pictures. {note to clients: this is the most casually dressed you’ll ever see me}
