NACE Baltimore Meeting

In case you aren’t familiar with the acronym NACE, it stands for National Association of Catering Executives. I attended the Baltimore Chapter’s April networking meeting last week and what a great meeting. It was held at the Radisson Lord Baltimore hotel downtown. This month’s meeting was all about decorating buffet tables. Who says your buffet has to be on one round or rectangular table? Why not both? Add additional items to create varying heights and dimension.

The Radisson has recently undergone renovations and the ballroom was gorgeous. The linens and flowers were provided by Gala Cloths and Richardsons Florists. Let me also say that The Radisson’s food and service were excellent!

Great Gifts For The New Mr. & Mrs.

Recently I blogged about famed event planner to the stars, Mindy Weiss starting a blog. Well she also has an e-store where I found these cute items for the newlyweds.

How great would it be to travel with these Mr & Mrs passport holders and luggage tags on your honeymoon. These Bride & Groom eye masks might come in handy during your flight if you need some sleep after celebrating your nuptials the night before.

Paperless Bridal Party Newsletter

In honor of Earth Day, I thought today’s post should reflect something eco-friendly. So here goes…

Banks and other companies offer the option of viewing your statements and bills online instead of receiving them in the mail so why not do the same for your bridal party. Rather than create, print and mail Bridesmaids or Bridal Party Newsletters I encourage couples to create a blog…which is free. This reduces numerous sheets of paper and envelopes needed to provide a copy for each bridal party participant. And with postage constantly increasing, you’ll save money too!

Blogs are a great way to share pictures of your wedding décor inspirations, attire selections, DIY projects, etc. with your friends. They can even leave a comment on your blog to give their opinion on the items posted.

Happy blogging!

I Did My Favorite Things This Weekend

What a great weekend! I got to do two of my favorite things…shopping and talking about all things wedding! Everyone that knows me knows that I LOVE to shop! So I couldn’t resist an opportunity to travel to King of Prussia Mall on Saturday for a shopping trip. There were so many stores to visit that I felt like a kid in a candy store. In addition to shopping {tax free} in PA, my friend Isis from Posh Events, LLC drove down from New Jersey to hang out with me. Although my plan was to do Summer clothes shopping for myself, I ended up buying stuff for a few of my upcoming weddings too. I know, I know…I’m a wedding planning addict but that’s what makes me great at my job. I LOVE WEDDINGS!

Thanks Isis for making the trip and for introducing me to your gorgeous, cutie pie son Christian.

Another Great Find

Tired of having to paint wooden letters to match your wedding décor? I came across this great find while perusing Lucky Design’s blog. Wonderful Graffiti has done it again! They now sell Lucite Letters. These glass like letters will work with any color combination.

Another Wedding Monogram Monday

Last Monday, I posted a few monograms I created for a couple recently. I thought I’d do it again this Monday…hence the title.

These monograms were for a couple that wanted a modern yet elegant look. They also wanted to incorporate their theme which is based on Godiva Chocolates’ gold and brown packaging.
