It’s almost over…

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy holiday season. I am taking a break from posting as the year winds down. As we say goodbye to 2007 I am looking forward to a wonderful 2008 so check back with us next year for new and exciting things.

Have a safe and Happy New Year!!!!!

Double Duty

I came across a beautiful photo vase that I thought would be great for a wedding. It could be used for your centerpiece and table numbers combined…hence the title “double duty”. Many couples use pictures of pets, of themselves as kids or of their travels to denote the table number for their guests. Wouldn’t this be a perfect way to display them? For those of you that want a more traditional look, the vase can incorporate stationery with the number printed or spelled out (7 versus Seven).

They will also engrave a maximum of 24 characters at no additional charge. What a great place to add your new monogram.

Holiday Cocktails

Are you a martini lover who is hosting a winter wedding, engagement or holiday party? Then checkout Stirrings for various winter and holiday inspired cocktail and martini mixers as well as recipes for making these great drinks.

Their Chocolate Martini mixer & rimmer made with pure Dutch Chocolate would be perfect for all the chocoholics on your guest list?

If chocolate alone doesn’t seem festive enough for the holidays then try their Chocolate Peppermint mixer and rimmermade with crushed candy cane.

Do visions of sugar plums dance in your head? Okay, I just couldn’t resist including a reference from “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. Maybe you’ll like their Sugar Plum mixer and rimmer made of a puckery sweet blend of sugar and natural plum.

And lastly, what would the holiday season be without egg nog. For a limited time they are offering Egg Nog mixer and rimmer made of cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla flavored sugar.

Happy Holiday Entertaining!

Votive Candle Tree

I received several inquiries regarding the centerpiece I used in the ABC Tabletop Competition. So I thought I would do a post for my readers and fellow bloggers. I ordered it from Ballard Designs. I added hangle crystals to it to add a little glamour since my theme was Holiday Elegance.

So if you are looking for an inexpensive centerpiece for your wedding or event check out the Twig Votive Tree which sells for $59.99. Who could resist that price…I couldn’t.

3. I would marry my husband every year on our anniversary if I could…and if people wouldn’t think we were crazy :-)

4.I love Starbucks and wish I could open one in my home

5. I am an only child but always wished I was a twin

6. I am a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan…HOW ‘BOUT THEM COWBOYS! 12-1 for the first time ever!

7. I’ve always wanted to visit Venice to ride a gondola…riding the ones at the Venetian in Las Vegas was nice but I’m sure it’s not the same.

Okay, I think I’m done and now you know a little more about me. So I’m tagging the following bloggers:

Monograms & Wedding Logos

Monograms and wedding logos are very popular these days. Couples use them to personalize their wedding and to set theirs a part from the crowd. They are used on everything from stationery to gobo lighting. One couple on Platinum Weddings, Amanda & Ray, had their wedding logo put on a billboard for all of their guests (and the rest of Nashville) to see. I’m sure that’s a little over the top for the average couple but not when your entire wedding costs $700,000.

I created 4 monograms for April and Josh whose wedding color palette is pink and brown. Below are two of my favorites. What do you think?
