Married Away in Savannah, GA

The new season of Married Away aired last night on The Style Network. The episode featured a destination wedding in Savannah, GA. Most people think of destination weddings on tropical islands so it was nice to see a New Jersey couple heading south to the Mansion on Forsyth Park. The venue is gorgeous! Below are a few pictures.

Ann Taylor Celebrations line

I love shopping at Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft for my everyday clothing. However, they’ve introduced a new line called Celebrations that is geared toward the wedding industry. If you are looking for bridesmaid dresses, flowergirl dresses, shoes, men’s ties, purses, etc. for your wedding day, then look no further. Their collection is beautiful and items come in some of today’s most popular colors. The best part is that you get these items with the same quality as Ann Taylor’s fine clothing.

Bling or “Ice”

I came across this and thought it was a cool idea. Check out the Cool Jewels Ice Tray by The Spoon Sisters. Just fill the tray with water and freeze. Or use your favorite juice to create colored gems. What a great idea for a bridal shower or engagement party. Imagine an ice bucket full of diamond shaped ice cubes. I’m sure this will be quite the ice breaker for any party…lol.

It’s all about the bride!

I hear brides say this all the time…but this is taking it to the extreme. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw this picture. I can only imagine what the guests thought as they walked into the reception room and realized their dessert could possibly be the bride’s head on a plate :-)

I want to be absolutely clear…this IS NOT one of our weddings!

Fall Centerpiece ideas

While in Caesar’s Palace, I came across these centerpieces on my way to dinner with my husband. I had to stop and take a picture so I could post on the blog. Hope you like it.

BBJ Linen in Las Vegas

Okay, so I said I was going to Vegas for a much needed vacation but the truth is I worked while I was there. I can’t help it…I love wedding and event planning!

BBJ Linen is one of the few specialty linen rental companies I use because of their selection and customer service. However, they do not have a showroom in this area. They recently opened one in Las Vegas! There was no way I could go all the way to Vegas without stopping by their beautiful showroom. I had the pleasure of meeting with the sales manager Tricia Pucci. Althought I have a huge swatchbook, it was great to see some of their new selections as well as their custom items in person.

Below are just a few of the many options BBJ offers…Pink Poetry Sheer (shown over brown), Fantasia linen and chairback cover (from their custom/couture line), Brown Niko (featured with Tiffany Blue) and Black Orleans.

Back from Vegas

Well I’m back and a great time was had by all. I got a lot of exercise walking up and down the strip looking at the different hotels. My husband and I managed to see just about all of the popular ones…The Venetian, Caesar’s Palace, New York New York, Paris, The Bellagio, etc.

Who could walk by the Bellagio without seeing the water show. Enjoy the short clip!
